Parklane Gallery encourages established and emerging artists to join our cooperative gallery. Parklane membership benefits include a prominent location to display your work, a gallery page on the Parklane web site, and publicity from the promotions and news releases for the gallery.
All Parklane Gallery members work two 4-hour shifts per month and attend monthly meetings, as well as work on various committees.
Terms of Membership:
At the time of joining the gallery, artists are required to sign a six month contract and pay for the following: first and last month’s wall fee ($190), a nonrefundable initiation fee ($100), a refundable key deposit ($20). Also, a $50 Kirkland business license must be purchased. In addition, the gallery takes a low 20% commission on art sold. Everyone works as a sales associate for two 4 hour shifts per month, serves on at least one committee, attends the first Monday of the month gallery meeting and attends the Second Friday Art Walk at least quarterly. Artwork must be changed each month. Hanging guidelines must be followed.
If accepted as a new Parklane artist, you will be assigned to help on the Display Coordination committee for the first 2 months. The time you spend working at the gallery and attending the Art Walk will be a good time for you to promote the gallery and yourself. If accepted for membership, you must agree to accept the Gallery Bylaws, which include the above conditions.
