Sonja Morgan
Sonja has a great background in world travel and diverse cultures. She taught English at Jingmei Technical College in Beijing, China for a summer quarter. A year later she married her husband who soon after joined the Navy. She is always seeking new ways to experience the world – learning as she goes. These cultures have helped to develop her artistic style in the abstract world of photography. Sonja and her husband, Matt, recently returned from a 4-year hiatus to the East Coast (Virginia). She loves the Northwest and enjoys immersing herself in the creation of nature and color. Her abstract photography is her passion. She is inspired by old, abandoned objects that accrue rust and moss. Sonja is a full time artist and travel agent. She has photographs at Parklane Gallery in Kirkland, Dark Horse Art Co. in Seattle and frequently participates in Art Walks in Edmonds and shows with Revolution Gallery in Issaquah. Sonja also has a piece, "Broken Glass," at the capitol building in Olympia. When Sonja is not working on art, she loves to train for half marathons and scrapbook. Sonja is also a wedding photographer; she loves making people smile. Her motto is: "capturing life's simplicities one photo at a time."
